Speaking of insurance, Vail Resorts, Inc claims company Sedgwick was going to call and email us with an update in 2 business days. That would have been 5 days ago. Jerks.

Great strategy by Sunapee. Don't bother with the pick of the weekend on Saturday. Come Sunday instead for the freeze after the thaw when it will be skied off by 9. Hmmn.

If your goal is to give the experience of a life time, it's silly to ask your pass holders to come on a crappy boiler plate day instead of a soft spring like day.

That must be the first time I've ever heard a ski area say not to come because the skiing is going to be good. But based on what's going on I think I would agree that it would be a better idea to go somewhere else. At least they're saying what has to be said under the circumstances.

Seeing a bunch of people apres-ski having a beer and a dog in the parking lot the other day got me to thinking... Surprised ski areas hasn't banned tailgating. Many have effectively banned brown bagging in the lodges. Then they could sell beer and food via roving carts in the lots like they do on golf courses.

The original claim agent who has been AWOL, Sedgwick emailed yesterday and asked for the same info once again. 18 days later. Amost made Catch 22?

I saw some quote from Mr. Katz in which he claims the oversold passes are no problem, and instead blames virtually all the problems of long lines and crowds on the employees that they don't have!

I think it was from a podcast or something, but darn it I can't find it.

Maybe they should sell off their Midwest & Eastern areas and focus on what they do best. Running their western ski areas and catering to the rich who love to stand in long lines and spending endless amount of money doing it!

The skiers & riders who want to take a vacation out west will still buy the Epic Pass for their trip but the rest of us can go back to enjoying our New England mountains with less crowds & B.S.!
