And you forgot that MS was also making snow today too ;)

So was a lot of other areas. With the recent weather, ski areas need to replenish if they want to stay open into March and beyond.

Actually wasn't bad at all. NF lifts were ski on or super short most of the day. Slight crowd in the late morning. Grand Summit and Canyon were shorter than expected. My sister was up, so we only bothered with the singles line once. I never saw any line at all at Ego or Sundance. Didn't make it to Carinthia today. Spent most of the day in the trees and bumps which were nice enough for my taste.

I'm still no fan of Vail. But gotta call like I see it. This year I've avoided Wildcat, Hunter and JFBB since I have no faith in their operations. Also haven't spent a dime on anything but the passes.

Actually yesterday wasn't a big crowd by Mount Snow standards. If you stayed away from the base area high speeds, from what I experienced most everything else was maybe a 2 minute wait tops.

Short of some days with either wind holds or de-icing events, the overall weekend volume that I have experienced this season seems to be slightly down.

Truly haven't had a day where it's felt like a BIG crowd. And that statement isn't the same as there haven't been some days where the lift queue lanes, especially late morning, have been packed full.

Very lucky that with respect to Mount Snow, Vail is operating the resort fairly close to "normal". I know that is a bit of an anomaly with respect to their Eastern portfolio

Glad to hear the lift lines/crowds seem to be better this year. Though is it because of the less than average winter, the paid parking, or some other reason?

Mount Snow was getting more crowded after Peaks went from a 6 mountain pass (around 2010) to 17 mountains at the end. Back then you'd have a few key weekends with crowded lift lines & trails to most every weekend (especially Saturday's) just before they sold. Then Vail took over and things have gotten worse across the board (lift lines, crowds, customer service, etc.).

Even though it probably will never happen I'd like to see Vail sell off their Midwest & New England areas and lets get back to a single or even 2/3 mountain pass even if it cost a little more. I miss the days when just about every weekend you had 5-10 minute lift lines max. and you could find a seat in the lodge to change and get some food/beer.

Mount Snow (along with others) have been bought & sold before! Someone would love to acquire any of these resorts as they are proven money makers.

How about we return the the pre-Vail pricing that Stowe used which was $2313.00 for 16/17 pass. Adjust for inflation and the additional areas available and round up to a convenient $2499 for an Epic pass. That'd really stick it to the "rich who love to stand in long lines and spending endless amount of money doing it!"

Or how about distance pricing? If you can afford to live on the mountain: $5000 a pass. Pricing goes down based on the average distance to the major resorts. Folks in Baton Rouge could get their passes for $199.

I certainly wouldn't mind paying between $850 - $1000 for a Mount Snow pass if I didn't have to pay to park or deal with the ridiculous crowds on the weekend. Of course, in a few years when I retire it won't matter as I will ski midweek and leave the weekends for the weekend warriors.

I'm trying not to and just taking it day by day. Time sure seems to fly by faster as you get older so I'm going to enjoy each day I get.

You know, I always heard there was two thing that were certain in life but I agree with adding Vail's refusal to do the right thing and give COVID refunds to that list.

I do have an article that states that Vail did lie to their passholders regarding COVID related issues. I'm thinking about trying my credit card company again and present that article to see if they'll reconsider.
