The destination resorts are managed by a different team than the Metropolitan resorts, many of which are new to Vail corp, so they may need additional time to run the numbers.
Also, the distribution of part and full-time labor is different at the metro resorts. The smaller resorts have a lot of part-timers. So that probably comes into play.
Of course, it could just be an opportunity for an additional press release.
