Another inch of new snow fell overnight and conditions are great yet again today! Kenduskeag, Sticky, Aroostook, & The Bean opened with natural snow. They're thin, but very skiable and fun! No crowds again today.

The great conditions continue! Unfortunately it looks like we may lose a good but of snowpack this weekend, so the next few days will be best. Snow is being made on Swift and Rapid, so those should be opening before too long. Because of nearby snowmaking, Scrog Glade now is mostly skiable without issue. The mountain is a bit more busy today, but still no lines.

Amazing you guys have temps to make snow I was just out snowmobiling in a sweatshirt and no gloves at lunch... ugh.

We shut down the guns around 10. It did get up to about 35 today. The next few days are supposed to be even warmer unfortunately.

The mountain is more busy today, but the conditions are still excellent, and there still are no lines. We picked up a dusting of snow overnight, and it didn't get as warm as they were originally predicting today. Hopefully they're also wrong about this weekend's weather.

Soft snow and bluebird skies today! Same trails as the last few days, but cover on Kenduskeag is getting thin.

Kenduskeag and Sticky are now closed due to snow loss yesterday. It's very foggy today, but the snow is good and there are no crowds! It looks like this coming storm will be largely rain, but not a complete washout. Snowmaking temps return on Monday.

It's a warm and rainy morning at BMOM. The snow is nice and creamy, but I was soaked after a couple runs. It's supposed to change over to snow this afternoon, and we may pick up a couple inches.

Looks like this Friday is finally going to be the day I can check out BMOM on my way to Rangeley. My wife and I are planning to ski/ride there in the afternoon and take advantage of the $25 lift tickets. I don't need to do anything special to get that rate do I? Can you boot up in the lodge or is the parking lot our best bet? Any tips for a first time visit? Hopefully they end up getting some fresh snow in that storm moving through Friday.

Nope, just show up and pay $25! The lodge is fully open for changing, storing bags, and eating food bought at the ski area or brought from elsewhere. Terrain will likely still be somewhat limited, but they may open terrain throughout the day if we get enough snow. If it's busy, the best parking can often be found in the overflow lot which is to the right as you drive up to the lodge. If you're into that kind of thing, stop up into the Last Run Pub and try a Between the Trees which is a BMOM inspired spruce tip IPA.

I won't be there on Friday, but I hope you enjoy your visit!

That's the next phase after Swift and Rapid are complete. I'm not sure how far they got on those trails this week, but we'll know by tomorrow's snow report. If they were able to finish those trails this week, then snowmaking should start on Allagash/St. John next week.

Thank you for the great information, very helpful for a first time visitor. That IPA sounds interesting and it's rare I meet a beer I don't like so I will definitely check it out. The pub is in the lodge I assume?

Swift and Upper Rapid are now open! Lower Rapid should be open very soon. Snow surfaces today are generally good, but windblown in some places. Snowmaking continues on Rapid, and it looks like we have a great window of weather to continue making snow! There are moderate crowds today, but no lift lines.

Today the same trails are open as yesterday. Although it's 25 degrees out, there has been some freezing rain in the morning. It's not often you see snowmaking going on while it's raining. Conditions are still pretty good, and the rain is supposed to switch to snow before stopping in the afternoon.

I want to shout out to the Black Mountain of Maine family members who took the time this morning to offer to help out with the first day of seasonal lessons. We were worried that we might not have the full coverage required to give our customers the highest level of service.
We ended up having a wonderfully prepared group of instructors thanks to Sam Shirley efforts and hard work over these last few years and didn’t need the extra help. BUT is sure felt nice to see all the volunteers standing by willing to be lift buddies or give 1 on 1 time if needed.
Honestly too many to tag without offending by missing a few but the corral was full of true BMOM family members standing by to help if needed. I was honestly a bit choked up to see the outpouring of willing people!
