The admin is not the owner and the admin doesn't moderate. the admin is barely qualified to admin, trust me on that.
The owner isn't around much but is very kind to keep this domain alive and let all of us use it.
Seems to me these are minor problems and overblown nitpicking due to our respective passions for the sport and our commitment to our resorts/ski areas
I hope Jaytrem sticks around. I personally appreciate all the various viewpoints and whatnot and the civil, generally well-mannered discussion. that's why I've stuck around for nearly 20 years
Thanks Rick!
I’ll try to not get sappy here.
SJ has been and still is my first online discussion site where I relive cherished memories and share experiences of skiing since a child. I can for the most part be myself, vent, rant, reminisce and just plain have fun.
Through SJ I have met so many genuine real ski folks in person, not only myself but my wife and she knows SJ has enhanced my love of the sport ( and cost us a lot of $ and time) but rolls with it.
I am genuinely thankful for the site’s owner(s),administrator(s), moderator(s) and contributors.
When SJ1 was ended back in ‘15 much of my fun here was sent into cyberspace and I miss many of the early contributors from about TWENTY years ago.
Unfortunately the world we live in is getting worse just as the good book prophesies. Getting along and agreeing with others has and will be tougher to do.
I will continue to be a “contributor” here because the good here still outweighs the bad and each person is entitled to their opinions and if I disagree I just “let it go”.
Just because I don’t always agree with all sides of a topic doesn’t mean I can’t try to respect them as a person. That’s why the good Lord gave us the choice to decide to make decisions and not be robots.
Here’s to all things good in the sport of skiing/ riding !
