May 2-3, 2024 - Thu./Fri.
Two excellent bluebird days in the 60s, but the air was dry, so the snow remain as corn and cream cheese, rather than crud and wet spots.

As of COB Friday:
- Superstar T2B
- Skylark T2B (two very short breaks)
- Skyehawk T2B (using a short path thru the woods from SS.)
- High Road from lower Skyelark to Lower Bittersweet
- Ovation headwall open but very hard to enter. IMO, not worth the effort.
- Middle Ovation with a walk from the bottom back to Superstar. Small breaks opened on Friday.

They will make it thru this weekend (May 4-5) on all of the above: not sure about next weekend. Superstar (IMO) has deep snow and barring a catastrophically warm May, should have no problem making it thru the weekend of June 1-2.

Missed you on Friday. And, middle Ovation had beautiful cream cheese snow on Friday. Friday and Saturday were really fun this past weekend! Hopefully, there will be some clearing in the forecast for this coming weekend between now and then. Fingers Crossed!

Most likely because I only skied a half day and left about noon last Friday. Unless the forecast changes, I may pass on this weekend.

Joshua, I'm glad we were finally able to see each other again. I plan on being back on Friday, (Sat and Sun too) I'm not sure about you.

It will be interesting to see how it looks after they move snow around for this weekend. I don't think the webcam can show that.

I agree with Newp. This heat and the coming rains will do a number on it. I don't see June, but who knows...people are always willing to walk, so if they can get snow to the terminals it could work

just looked at the webcam this morning for the first time since winter. I have no clue how long it will last. All things considered, what I see this morning (Thurs) is pretty darn impressive.

Just wondering if synthetic ski mats wouldn't be a help in bridging the gaps at the usual melting points.

They have been used in Scotland for decades. World Cup standout Dave Ryding grew up skiing on them.

Snow is going to take a beating the next two days, but after that it's looking like cooler, cloudier weather. Might just be too little too late to salvage June 1st.

Both webcams that normally show Superstar are now pointed elsewhere. And after looking at the view from earlier today, I'd say that 6/1 will not happen.

They have run the lift for less. Though, it might not be enough by Saturday.

That's grim. June 1 will be tough but if anyone can piece together something to ski on, It's KMart
